Meet Bill Mann

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and at the age of 14, I spent a lot of quality time in the kitchen with my mother. Those early experiences laid the foundation for the cooking style I have today. Experiencing a wide range of cooking techniques, cuisines, and cultures not only shaped the chef I am but continues to guide and inspire my culinary journey.
What's your favorite restaurant?
With so many incredible restaurants and chefs around, it’s hard to choose—but without question, my favorite is the Grand Concourse in Pittsburgh, PA.
What's your favorite thing to cook for yourself?
When I cook for myself, I like to keep it simple—my go-to is a classic fried egg sandwich.
Why did you want to be a chef?
Ever since I was a young boy, I’ve loved cooking for people. There’s something both inspiring and humbling about seeing someone enjoy the food I create. I became a chef because of my passion for food and the desire to gain a deep understanding of the culinary arts. Today, I aim to pass on that knowledge—teaching, inspiring, and helping others grow in their own culinary journeys.
If you're not in the kitchen - what are some of your hobbies & interests?
Outside the kitchen, you’ll usually find me at the movies, on a hiking trail or mountain bike, or wandering through a new town discovering its hidden gems.
